DETOUR

There is a detour along High Point Rd. If anyone is used to coming off I-40 near the mall and driving down High Point Rd. to the park, there is a detour because of road construction. Same if someone comes in off business 85

on the Vickery Chapel Rd. exit and turns left on High Point Rd.

It's not far, but people should be aware of it.

Directions to City Lake Park;

From Charlotte

I-85 North

Take exit #118 (GTCC / Jamestown) which will put you on Business 85 29/70

Exit onto E. Kivett Dr.

Turn left back across Business 85.

Turn right onto S. Scientific St.

Go about 2 miles until road deadends at West Main St.

Turn right, enterance to park is on your left.

From Raleigh/Durham

I-85 South to Greensboro.

You can either come through town on the old 85 or use the new bypass around town.

After the 2 join back up on the west side of Greensboro, take the next exit onto Business 85 29/70 to High Point.

Take the first exit (Vickrey Chapel/Jamestown)

Turn right off the ramp onto Vickrey Chapel Rd.

Go through one stoplight.

at the next stop light,turn left onto High Point Rd.

Go 2.4 miles through 5 stoplights, then look for City Lake Park on the right.

From Winston-Salem on I-40,

Exit at the Guilford College Rd. exit.

Off the exit ramp, turn left on Guilford College Rd. Go to the 7th stoplight at High Point Rd., turn right onto High Point Rd., go 2.5 miles and the City Lake Park is on the right.

For those new to the hobby.

It's just a fact of life that radio meets typicaly

start early and end early.

The early birds start arriving around 7AM.

The show is going strong by 8AM.

Do yourself a favor, get out of bed and get there early,

DON'T waste your time by showing up at 11AM or later.

All you'll get to see then is everyone packing up their goodies,

if they they arn't already gone.
